The body of a man reported missing after a Nationals game last week was found floating in the Anacostia river on Saturday, authorities say.
According to a Metropolitan Police Department Public Information Officer, 25-year-old Tyler William Reed, of Fairfax County, Va., was reported missing after a Nats game on May 5 by his family. Police say he left Nationals Park after a rain delay, went to nearby Justin’s Cafe, left, and was never seen again.
Reed’s body was found Saturday floating in the Anacostia River by police. As of this time, no indication of foul play is suspecting in Reed’s death, but the investigation is ongoing, police say.
Update: Reed was an employee of Bluejacket, the brewpub near Nationals Park. Bluejacket released the following statement on Facebook:
We were deeply saddened to learn about Tyler’s passing yesterday and to tragically lose a member of Bluejacket/The Arsenal family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Reed family & Tyler’s friends
