In just a few years, city classrooms will be full of Williams and Charlottes, the most popular names given to babies born in D.C. last year.

According to the Social Security Administration’s data, William (87), Alexander (77), Henry (69), John (68) and Noah (59) were the most popular male names in 2013. Charlotte (53), Sofia (48), Olivia (41), Genesis (40) and Emma (37) topped the female name list.

The list is a mix of old-school names — 33 Eleanors! 15 Oscars! — and names that have risen in popularity over the last decade, like Jayden (No. 18 on the list), Jayceon (No. 90) and Brooklyn (No. 97). Credit goes to the parents who named 13 babies Declan.
