An anonymous benefactor, inspired by a San Francisco philanthropist, is reportedly hiding cash around the D.C. area and tweeting out clues. The first person to find some of this money? A TV reporter.
Fox 5’s Melanie Alnwick says she found $25 in Friendship Heights with a note:
Hi!
Buy yourself a coffee & bagel
Then, consider buying one for someone who can’t afford it
Use this platform to do good, and encourage others to do good!
Just tweet where/when you found this!

Alnwick says she gave the money to a person on the street.
