News came earlier this week that Metro had finally taken control of the Silver Line. The long-delayed expansion of the Metro system will finally be open for people to ride in less than 90 days, and the new line will stretch into Virginia, with new stops at Wiehle-Reston East, Spring Hill, Greensboro, Tysons Corner, and McLean.
But if you think a new Metro line will mean less delays and scheduled weekend track work, think again. This weekend will be a particularly nightmarish commute for anyone who dares ride the Metro, as track work is scheduled for all Metro lines. Yikes.
