Firefighters are currently battling a second-alarm fire in the Kingman Park neighborhood of Northeast D.C.
Initial reports suggest there was an explosion and then a fire at the four-unit apartment building in the 1600 block of Isherwood NE. Police say no injuries have been reported. Both 16th and 17th streets are shut down between F and E streets NE.
A D.C. Fire and EMS spokesperson said, as of 4:30 p.m., crews were still at the scene. No additional information was available.
Update: The body of a man was located inside the building, according to police.
