As we begin to enter peak beautiful weather season—that point in the year where it’s nearly summer, but the oppressive heat and humidity haven’t quite hit yet—it’s high time to dust off the hiking boots and take in some of the great outdoors. Appropriately enough, Saturday is the perfect opportunity to do so, as it’s National Trails Day.

But for those of you who love hiking and hate wearing clothes, well, there’s a place in West Virginia—a popular weekend destination for D.C. folks who want to get out of the city and a change of scenery—that combines both of those things. The Avalon Resort in Paw Paw, W.Va.—a “getaway” clothing optional resort—is enticing people to come “experience the outdoors by hiking wearing nothing but a smile and your favorite hiking shoes or boots.”

According to a release, the resort has over four miles of hiking trails that you can peruse on your own or in a guided tour led by a presumably naked person. The resort also suggest that, since you’ll be walking in the woods “au natural,” you should wear sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, bug repellent, “and, of course, a friend who can attest you actually did bare it all in the great outdoors.” But emphasis on the sunscreen and bug repellent, because the thought of a sunburn or mosquito bite on your, um, private parts is just…oof.

Anyway, if you’re seriously looking to celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday and seriously hate wearing clothes, gates at the Avalon open at 9 a.m., hiking begins at 11 a.m., and a guided tour will begin at 1 p.m. It’s all free, though there is a “Bike, Blues, and BBQ” summer concert series later that day that does cost money. Just keep your genitals away from your food.

Avalon does have another event going on the same day. The first event of the annual Summer Concert Series, ‘Bikes, Blues and BBQ’ is that day beginning at 9 am. All are welcomed to attend, but there is a charge for anyone wishing to attend the BBBBQ event.
