SING-ALONG: The D.C. Public Library is getting in on the sing-along fun. Apparently the library isn’t allowed to publicly announce the actual name of the movie you’ll be singing along to, but the hint is “This fish-out-of- water wants to be part of your world.” Prizes will be awarded for movie trivia and most spirited performance, so be safe and watch The Little Mermaid. Popcorn will be provided. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library (901 G Street NW) 6:30 p.m. Free. For more information, call 202-727-1291.
HANDI-HOUR: Listen to live music, drink draft beer, and make crafty maps. Admission includes two drink tickets, snacks, craft supplies, and a Handi-hour glass to take home. Additional food is available for purchase. Smithsonian American Art Museum Luce Foundation Center (8th and F streets NW) 5:30- 8 p.m. $20 at the door. More info.
THEATER: Happy Days, a dark comedy about the “absurdity we all grapple with in our ridiculous little lives,” begins the first of three preview nights. Watch the show for $10 instead of $40 while the cast is “in training.” Atlas Center for the Performing Arts (1333 H Street NE) 8 p.m. $10
