MAIL: In May, the Mail Social Club taught you tips for making great Mother’s Day cards. This month, they’ll show you tips for making great mailable vacation memories. All participants are asked to “bring some 2D mementos from past vacations to make into mini-souvenirs.” Don’t have any? Print some pics out! Smithsonian National Postal Museum at Byrne Education Loft’s Overlook (2 Massachusetts Avenue NE). 6-8 p.m. Free, but you must register in advance here. Only 20 spots remain.

MUSIC: The Washington Jewish Music Festival comes to a close this Saturday. Tonight, Yemen Blues plays their world music, mixing “West African and Yemenite influences with contemporary grooves, from funk to mambo to the deep soul of old chants.” Washington DC Jewish Community Center (1529 16th Street NW) 7:30-9 p.m. $25

THEATRE: Lisa Loomer’s comedy Distracted begins a nine-night run. When it looks like nine-year-old Jesse may have ADD, his parents go on a “zany quest to improve the child’s quality of life.” Atlas Performing Arts Center (1333 H Street NE) 8 p.m. $32

COMEDY: It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for After Class @ The Science Club: A Weekly Comedy Show. David Coulter and Max Rosenblum host the area’s top comedians, though I don’t know who the comedians are. In any case, the show is free, and any comedian is worth $0, right? Science Club (1136 19th Street NW) 8:30-11 p.m. Register in advance here.

MORE COMEDY: If free shows or surprises aren’t your thing, you can go to a comedy show for $10, where Rob Maher, a two-time finalist in Comedy Central’s Laugh Riot Competition, will be performing two back-to-back shows. Bier Baron Showroom (1523 22nd Street NW) 6:30-8:30 p.m or 8:30-10:30 p.m. $10.
