With just under two weeks to go until the first Council hearing, D.C. United released new renderings of the stadium proposed to be built at Buzzard Point.
“We are excited about the next steps in making the stadium a reality for our fans and the D.C. community,” the team wrote in a blog post today, encouraging supporters to contact the Council. “As part of our commitment, we would like to share the latest renderings of the proposed stadium.”
The terms of the deal — which involves land swaps, tax breaks and labor requirements — are complicated. The package is expected to undergo several hearings and may not face a vote until fall.
