Sylvan Esso is one of the best new bands of 2014, and their self-titled album released last month is a top contender for year’s best thus far. If you follow the Song Of The Day, you might recognize Sylvan Esso, as I’ve posted about them twice already. The electro-pop duo started when Megafaun’s Nick Sanborn was asked to remix a track from Amelia Meath’s band Mountain Man. That track, “Play It Right”, was the band’s first single and it’s represented on the band’s album. The track is a start-stop pop banger and usually the closer of the band’s kinetic live set. This band is on the brink of being huge, so get on the bandwagon now.
