A man who was discovered dead at Arlington National Cemetery last Friday has been identified as 92-year-old retired U.S. Air Force Col. Robert E. Terrill, a release states.

Terrill was discovered dead of a single gunshot wound at around 10 a.m. Friday morning. Investigators say foul play is not suspected, though the investigation is still ongoing.

“This was a tragic day at Arlington National Cemetery and our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Col. Terrill. We are grateful for his military service to our country,” Arlington National Cemetery Superintendent Jack E. Lechner, Jr. said in a release.

“Although we have not completely ruled it out in order to conduct a complete and thorough investigation, we do not suspect foul play at this point in the investigation,” Chris Grey, the spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command, the agency that’s leading the investigation, said.
