Happy almost Fourth of July, everyone!

As you prepare to hunker down for the holiday weekend, grills ablaze with various meats and a cooler of frosty adult beverages at your side, you’ll probably want some patriotic tunes to listen to. Sure, you could listen to some lame country music or the entire Bruce Springsteen Live 1975-85 box set (actually, yeah, you should probably listen to that at some point), and feel American or whatever, but you’re better off just listening to the playlist below.

Just like we did for previous holidays, DCist bar bathroom correspondent Alan Zilberman and myself made this weird playlist for you. It’s a mix of local artist and American staples that maybe don’t get played too often during 4th of July festivities. Anyway, enjoy and remember, tomorrow we celebrate our independence!
