On the day before the Fourth of July, President Barack Obama paid an unexpected visit to an appropriately fitting location: Local tech startup hub 1776.

According to a White House pool report, Obama stopped by shortly after 11 a.m. Situated on 15th Street NW between L and M Streets, 1776 hosts a variety of different startups.
