Vedas is the D.C. based dream-pop duo of Alex Lee and Andrew Monborne. The pair make moody atmospheric tracks that hinge on Lee’s classically trained voice. The band’s debut EP, Exhume, was released this past April, and now the band is playing their second show in the area tonight at the U Street Music Hall. “Mis Raj,” the record’s lead single, is a down-tempo track that resembles How to Dress Well. There’s a haunting piano line and steady drumming, but the real star is Lee’s voice.

Vedas plays tonight with Glass Animals and Tei Shi at the U Street Music Hall. Tickets are $15.
