Soi 38, the West End restaurant that serves Thai street food, is opening its patio today. For that reason, they’ll be serving free coconut ice cream from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Here’s a description of the treat: “Soi 38’s housemade ice cream uses young coconut and jackfruit for a creamy, tropical dessert perfect for Washington’s steamy summers. Crushed peanuts sprinkled on top give the dish crunch.” The restaurant will also give away spicy ginger lemonade this afternoon.

It will be 86 degrees at 1 p.m. today, while it will feel like 93 degrees. Soi 38 is located at 2101 L Street NW.
