The one and only Nicolas Cage was filming in D.C. yesterday, and we missed it because life isn’t fair.

Cage was filming The Runner, a political drama about a New Orleans congressman set after the BP oil spill. The film also stars Connie Nielsen, Sarah Paulson, Peter Fonda and Wendell Pierce , who tweeted from the set yesterday. Filming took place on and around the National Mall yesterday, according to a permit.
