Metro’s Van Ness station was closed Wednesday morning as police investigated a suspicious package on the 4200 block of Connecticut Avenue.
Lanes of Connecticut Avenue NW were shut down between Van Ness Street and Windom Place, according to police, and reopened at 9:30 a.m. People could not exit or enter the station for about an hour as trains moved through Van Ness. As of 9:25 a.m., the station was reopened.
