Councilmember Marion Barry was involved in a vehicle collision on Pennsylvania Avenue SE late Saturday after, his spokesperson says, he suffered a hypoglycemic attack. Now Barry feels he’s being attacked by “people will kick you when they feel you are at your weakest.”
News of Barry’s wrong-way incident was first reported on Twitter by journalists from Fox5. The Ward 8 Councilmember was “cited for driving on the wrong side of the road, expired tags and not having insurance,” police told the Washington Times, and briefly hospitalized.
“Some people will kick you when they feel you are at your weakest. They are ruthless for control and wealth under the veil of self-[righteousness],” Barry tweeted today. “I will continue to be harassed because I am not a good water “boy” for them. Never was. Never will be. I will work for my people till the day I die.”
