Two people are dead and many other have hospitalized from apparent drug overdoses at Merriweather Post Pavilion during the “Mad Decent Block Party,” which took place this past Friday.

According to Howard County Police, a 20-year-old male from North Carolina was transported to the hospitable from the festival on Friday, where he was later pronounced dead. A 17-year-old male from Prince George’s County was also transported to the hospital on Friday and died yesterday. Police both the suspected cause of death in both cases is likely a drug overdose.

In addition to the two deaths, authorities also say that approximately 20 other concert-goers were transported to the hospital, most for drug-related problems. Additionally, police say they cited 50 people for underage drinking during the festival.

Howard County Police couldn’t say what the drug was that may have caused the two deaths until a toxicology report comes back, but the Post says that, “[after] investigating, they think that the commonly used drug at the event was MDMA, which is commonly referred to as ecstasy or as Molly.”
