After a weekend hypoglycemic attack and subsequent car accident, Marion Barry told WUSA-9’s Bruce Johnson he was looking for volunteers to drive him around. This attention to the Ward 8 Councilmember’s driving led reporters to check out DMV records on his Jaguar and revealed he owed $2,848 in unpaid tickets racked up since 2012.

That number owed is now zero after Barry’s fines were reduced by $1,045 during adjudication leaving him with a $1,779 bill. An invoice sent by Barry to Johnson showed a $789 payment, but a DMV spokesperson told reporters the entire balance was paid.

As the Post reports, Barry’s Jag was released from an impound lot free of charge.
