According to the Metropolitan Police Department, 13 people were shot—one fatally—during a violent weekend in D.C.

The fatal shooting occurred on Friday at approximately 10:52 p.m. in the 3600 block of Warder Street NW. When police arrived on the scene, they found an adult male near the intersection of Warder Street and Quebec Place suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

About an hour later on Friday four people—three adult males and one juvenile male—were shot and wounded in Northeast, near the intersection of Second Street and Todd Place. And early Saturday morning—at about 1 a.m.—a shooting occurred in the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace SE. None of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

Early Sunday morning, at approximately 1:47 a.m., six people—three men and three women—were shot and wounded in the unit block of N Street SW. Four were taken to the hospital, while the two others checked themselves in at a nearby hospital later that morning, police say. Finally, a man was shot and wounded at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning during a carjacking in the 2300 block of Hartford Street SE. None suffered life-threatening injuries.
