We could sit here all day and debate the merits of the ice bucket challenge. On the one hand, it’s a huge waste of fresh water and “basically narcissism masked as altruism.” On the other hand, the ALS Association has received $22.9 million in donations between July 29 and August 19, compared to $1.9 million during that period last year.
Yes, we could go back and forth all day on this subject. Or we could simply watch this video of former President George W. Bush having a bucket of cold water dumped on his head. It’s August. Let’s do the latter.
