A dog who was reportedly stolen in the D.C. area ended up 400 miles away at a South Carolina shelter.
The Horry County Animal Care Center posted a picture of a fluffy, small black dog yesterday to Facebook with a warning to put identification on pets.
She had been STOLEN from her owner in the WASHINGTON DC area and ended on the side of the road in Surfside Beach. Because she had identification, we were able to get her onto a transport and on her way back to a very grateful owner. Thanks to All 4 Paws for helping in the transport.
We’ve reached out to see if we can get more details. Happy National Dog Day.
