Update: We are no longer accepting applications.
Attention hungry people: DCist is looking for freelance writers to beef up our food section and inject some new flavor into our coverage. Ideal candidates will be able to write knowledgeably about the city’s culinary scene without relying so heavily on food puns (like some people).
While we’re looking for writers to preview and review new restaurants and bars, DCist also wants to hear your ideas for recurring features, profiles, photo galleries, quick hits and everything in between.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and competitive with similar sites. Photography skills a plus.
Interested? Send a resume, two to three clips and a summary of your last, best dining experience in D.C. to tips@dcist.com. Please put the words “Food writer” at the beginning of the subject line. Food editor Alicia Mazzara will begin handing out assignments next week, so get your application in ASAP.
