DCist is looking for freelance theater writers.

In addition to previews and reviews of plays and musicals in the D.C. area, we’re looking for writers with creative ideas for recurring columns, features, interviews and photo galleries.

Interested? Send a resume, two to three clips and a five-sentence review of the last show you saw in D.C. to tips@dcist.com. Please put the words “Theater writer” at the beginning of the subject line. Applications should be sent ASAP; theater editor Riley Croghan will begin assigning pieces next week.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and competitive with similar sites. Photography skills a plus.
