Kids at a Glen Burnie, Md. elementary school are getting an unexpected four-day weekend after a loose feral cat has forced the school to close down today.
As WUSA9 reports, Richard Henry Lee Elementary School in Anne Arundel County was closed today after Animal Control officers were unable to capture a feral cat reportedly running loose in the building.
“Animal Control officials have been unable to capture the feral cat inside the building at Richard Henry Lee Elementary School, and will be setting traps for it,” AACPS said in a an announcement on their website. As a result the school closed at 9:45 a.m. and shipped all the students home to try and catch the cat.
