When a D.C. sixth grader heard an important guest was coming to her school, she naturally assumed it was Beyoncé — not President Obama.
According to a White House pool report, the President and First Lady Michelle Obama arrived yesterday at Inspired Teaching charter school in Northeast D.C. to fill “playpacks” for homeless children during the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
Enter ultimate truth-teller Madison:
Madison told President Obama that when she learned an important guest was going to join the activity, she “really wanted to be Beyoncé.”
“Then I realized it was gonna be you,” she said. “That’s even better.”
Both Obamas were amused, and said they understood Madison’s preference for Beyonce.
Madison, however, then clarified that she was more excited to meet President Obama than Beyoncé.
With recovery like that, it seems Madison has a future in politics.
