With the ballot officially set, Councilmember Muriel Bowser has committed to four mayoral debates and forums.

The first forum, announced back in May, will take place at American University next Thursday. A WAMU debate is scheduled for October 2, and an NBC4-Washington Post debate is set for October 15. Councilmember David Catania and former Councilmember Carol Schwartz, both Independents running for mayor, are invited to each of the debates.

“I want to congratulate all of the candidates who have qualified for the November ballot,” Bowser, the Democratic nominee for mayor, said in a release, “I’m looking forward to a robust conversation about the future of the District of Columbia, just as I have done for the past 18 months of my campaign. These debates will provide an opportunity to lay out the clear distinctions between me and the other candidates, articulate my vision for the District and describe how I will bring people together and lead them over the next four years.”

The D.C. Board of Elections today set the order in which candidates will appear on the November ballot. For mayoral candidates, the order is : Nestor Djonkam (I), Muriel Bowser (D), David Catania (I), Faith (SG), Carl Schwartz (I) and Bruce Majors (L).
