The jersey the Capitals will wear during the 2015 Winter Classic was unveiled today at Nationals Park, where the team will take on the Chicago Blackhawks.

Team captain Alex Ovechkin, alternate captain Nicklas Backstrom and goaltender Braden Holtby were tasked to model the uniform, which features a large, blue “W” on the front and stripes on the shoulders, waist and legs.

“We wanted to create a uniform that not only celebrates the history of the Capitals but also gives the team a unique, new look,” Capitals President Dick Patrick said in a release. “We feel our fans will really embrace this uniform.”

Winter Classic tickets are not yet on sale to the public, but there are already tickets available through StubHub starting at $560.63. Season tickets holders are guaranteed access to packages, and prices have yet to be set.

Jerseys will be available for pre-order beginning today here. See more photos here.
