DCPS Chancellor Kaya Henderson will deliver a “State of the Schools” address tonight.

The event will take place at Ward 7’s H.D. Woodson High School. A DCPS spokeswoman said Henderson will provide an overview and update on priorities for the school year. The school boundary plan accepted by Mayor Vincent Gray, but opposed by the top two mayoral candidates, will likely not be discussed.

A reception with light refreshments will follow her remarks and will include student performances and interactive displays from academic programs and initiatives. Don’t miss the opportunity to chat with the Chancellor and members of the DCPS Leadership team, meet DCPS parents from across the city, sample our newest school lunch items, and tour the beautifully renovated H.D. Woodson facility.
