The best place to watch the Nationals begin their playoff run this afternoon will, naturally, be their Southeast D.C. stadium. But if you haven’t secured tickets yet, you’re probably in need of an alternative.
The Capitol Riverfront BID will host a viewing party at Yards Park on both Friday and Saturday.
Game viewing begins today at 3:07 p.m., and White Ford Bronco will play a post-game concert on the boardwalk.
Saturday’s festivities begin with a pre-game concert from Hand Painted Swinger at 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast at 5:37 p.m. Beer from Bluejacket will be available for purchase on both days, as will food from nearby restaurants and food trucks.
The Half Street Fairgrounds, right outside of Nationals Park, will host screenings for every game played with $5 drink specials between the 3rd and 7th innings.
Other food and drink specials will be available near Nats Park on game days. Beers at Takorean are just $4 after 2 p.m. People in Nats gear can get $5 margaritas, $5 sangria and $4.50 Corona Light drafts at Agua 301 two hours before, two hours after or during the game. Justin’s Cafe’s happy hour will get progressively more expensive on Friday, with $3 drafts, $4 rail drinks and $5 Firefly Vodka from 5 to 6 p.m.
For options away from the stadium, the Going Out Guide has a list that includes Duffy’s Irish Pub, DC Reynolds and Hill Country.
