The Metropolitan Police Department is currently searching for two missing 12-year-old girls, and is asking the public’s help in locating them.

Daekyia Shropshire was last seen on Monday, October 6 in the unit block of M Street NE. She is described as a black female, approximately 5’3″ tall, 105 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Taniya Moore was last seen on Thursday, October 9 at approximately 7 p.m. in the area of 9th and Yuma Street SE. Moore is described as a black female, about 5’0″ tall, 115 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair with dreadlocks. She was last seen wearing an army green polo shirt, tan khaki pants, hot pink canvass tennis shoes, and a black jacket. She also may be wearing a gold colored necklace with a bow charm and matching gold bow earrings.
