Happy almost Halloween weekend! If you’ve got some spooky-scary plans this weekend, be warned: avoid Metro. And this isn’t because WMATA transformed it into a haunted Metro (that’d be awesome though, right?), it’s because there’s track work scheduled for nearly every Metro line.

Take a look:

Red Line

Trains every 8-15 minutes.

Red Line trains will operate as follows throughout the weekend:

  • Between Shady Grove and Glenmont: every 15 minutes.
  • Between Van Ness & NoMa-Gallaudet: every 8-10 minutes Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. only.

Work Performed: Floating slab renewal between Van Ness & Friendship Heights, lighting upgrades and fence replacement between NoMa-Gallaudet & Rhode Island Ave.

Orange Line

Orange Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend.

Work Performed: Platform rehabilitation and communications upgrades between Stadium-Armory & Cheverly.

Silver Line

Silver Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend to coordinate train schedules with rebuilding on other lines.

Blue Line

Blue Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend.

Work Performed: Rail tie, fastener, insulator and grout pad renewal between Braddock Road & Van Dorn St.

Yellow Line

Yellow Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend.

All trains will operate to/from Mt Vernon Square, rather than Fort Totten. If you are traveling to or from a station north of Mt Vernon Sq, use a Green Line train to complete your trip.

Work Performed: Rail tie, fastener, insulator and grout pad renewal between Braddock Road & Huntington.

Green Line

Green Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend.

Work Performed: Rail tie, fastener, insulator and joint elimination between Prince George’s Plaza & Greenbelt.
