Heads up, motorists: six new speed cameras and two new red light cameras were deployed this morning, along roads where the Metropolitan Police Department says “speeding and pedestrian safety has been identified to be a problem.”

Per usual, the first 30 days are an “educational, or ‘warning period,'” in which violators will just receive warning citations, instead of tickets. After that, you’ll be fined. So, slow down, motorists!
