Laptops containing voter information were stolen from an elementary school in Southeast D.C. this morning.
WUSA9 first reported that four laptops, which contained voter registration information, was stolen from Davis Elementary school, situated at 4430 H Street SE, early this morning. D.C. Board of Elections spokesperson Denise Tolliver confirms that “four polling e-books” were stolen from the elementary school between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. this morning but said that no voter information was compromised.
Tolliver added that they were able to replace them in time for the polls to open. The Metropolitan Police Department was contacted and are currently investigating the theft.
