After a hellish few weeks of weekend track work, it’s looking pretty light for Metro work in the next few days. Only two lines—yes, two!—have scheduled track work this weekend. However, don’t count your blessings quite yet, on Tuesday—Veterans Day—the Metro will be particularly screwy to accommodate the Concert for Valor on the National Mall. More on that later. For now, here’s what’s going on:
Red Line
Red Line trains will operate every 16 minutes throughout the weekend.
Work Performed: Joint elimination, rail, tie and insulator renewal between Friendship Heights and Medical Center and Fort Totten and Takoma.
Green Line
Green Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend.
Work Performed: Joint elimination, rail tie, fastener, and insulator renewal between Prince George’s Plaza and Greenbelt.
Every other line is looking clear with the potential of minor delays. Celebrate by riding it all weekend long. For freedom.
