Food and drink discounts are being offered at several restaurants in D.C. to veterans and active duty service members as the nation marks Veterans Day.

  • Ventnor (2411 18th Street NW) with Pottsville, Penn.’s Yuengling will offer free lager to veterans between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

  • GCDC (1730 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) will serve free grilled cheese sandwiches to veterans and active duty U.S. military members between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

  • Active duty and retired military personnel, and their spouses, will receive a free beer at Duke’s Grocery (1513 17th Street NW).

  • Policy (1904 14th Street NW) is offering a free cocktail to military personnel during happy hour, per Eater.

  • Veterans and active military personnel get 50 percent of their bill with a party of two and 25 percent with a party of three or more at BLT Steak (1625 I Street NW).

  • Kangaroo Boxing Club‘s (3410 11th Street NW) brunch, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., will be 20 percent cheaper to anyone with a military ID.

  • More than 40 restaurants in Alexandria are offering 10 to 20 percent discounts this week to veterans with an ID.

  • Between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., Founding Farmers (1924 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) will offer a 50 percent discount to active and retired military personnel with an ID and/or uniform. Offer good for one other guest, and alcohol is excluded.

  • Shaw’s Tavern (520 Florida Avenue NW) will offer free bottomless mimosas to veterans and active duty military personnel with an ID between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
