Hundreds of thousands (maybe less, maybe more, we don’t know how many, officially) flocked to the National Mall yesterday for the Concert for Valor—a massive Veterans Day celebration sponsored by HBO, Starbucks, and Chase. The event celebrated all that members of our country’s armed forces have done for us over the decades, and featured a number of famous people cameos and musical performances.
Via Consequence of Sound, here’s some video of the highlights from yesterday’s concert, in case you weren’t able to attend or didn’t watch the live stream. Below, you can watch the most buzzed about, controversial moments from the concert, including: Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, and the Zac Brown Band cover Creedence Clearwater Revival’s anti-military anthem “Fortunate Son;” Springsteen’s stripped down acoustic set that includes the similarly anti-militaristic “Born in the U.S.A.,” and Eminem dropping an uncomfortable amount of f-bombs for what’s supposed to be a family-friendly event.
Hope you had a happy motherf*ckin’ Veterans Day, America.
