A group of fans constructed a nine-foot Jayson Werth garden gnome out of canned seafood over the weekend, because why not?

Actually, the project was for a cause, Arlington’s annual Canstruction competition, held this year at National Airport. The competition, which is running through November 22 in the baggage claim area of the airport’s main terminal, features groups making large sculptures out of canned food, which are donated to hunger relief groups after the competition is over.

DC Sports Bog reports that the Jayson Werth garden gnome sculpture, in all its nine-foot glory, was made with $3,800 worth of canned seafood. That’s a lot of canned seafood.
