Police today deployed seven new traffic cameras, six of which will enforce the speed limit.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, “the deployment locations for the Photo Enforcement Units will be sites where speeding and pedestrian safety has been identified to be a problem.” For the next 30 or so days, drivers who break the law will receive a warning citation. After that, real tickets will be given out.
