Via the White House.

The White House Christmas tree, a 20-foot white fir from Pennsylvania that will spend the holiday season in the Blue Room, arrived in D.C. today.

First Lady Michelle Obama, first daughters Malia and Sasha, and first dogs Bo and Sunny all come out to greet the tree.

The White House Christmas tree should not be confused with the Capitol Christmas tree, which will be lit on December 2, or the National Christmas tree, which is alive and located in President’s Park.

The (ticketed) National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will take place on December 4, with Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson hosting. Patti LaBelle, Ne-Yo, The Tenors and others are set to perform.
