It’s December, which means it’s now officially the Holiday season. Cue the non-stop holiday music cycle, cheery lights, and stress.

Luckily, here’s one thing you won’t have to stress about scheduled Metro track work during the weekends. Metro says that weekends this month will be “largely” free of scheduled track work.

“Thanks to all of the intense rebuilding work that has happened up to this point, we are in a position where we can ease up on track work for a few weekends and let our customers enjoy the season,” Metro Deputy General Manager Rob Troup said in a statement. “We are also mindful of the role Metro plays in supporting the regional economy, and it it gratifying to be in a position to support the business community with good service this holiday season.”

After the Holiday season, however, it’s back to the same old weekend track work shindig. But for now, bask in the gloriousness of being able to rely on Metro to get to places relatively on time during the weekends this month. At least in theory, there’s still some track work scheduled this month. Take a look:

Weekend of December 6 & 7

86 out of 91 Metrorail stations will have normal service throughout the weekend.
Red, Silver, Blue, Yellow, Green line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
Orange Line will operate on a regular weekend schedule between Vienna and Stadium-Armory. On Saturday only, riders traveling to or from five stations at the far eastern end of the Orange Line should allow additional time: New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood or Minnesota Ave. On Sunday, the Orange Line will run on a regular schedule.

Weekend of December 13 & 14

85 out of 91 Metrorail stations will have normal service throughout the weekend.
Red, Orange and Yellow line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
Green Line trains will run on a regular weekend schedule between College Park and Branch Ave stations. At Greenbelt Station only, buses will replace trains on Saturday and Sunday.
Blue Line trains will operate normally between Franconia-Springfield and Stadium-Armory, and Silver Line trains will operate normally between Wiehle-Reston East and Stadium-Armory. Riders traveling to or from five stations at the far eastern end of the Blue/Silver lines should allow additional time: Largo Town Center, Morgan Boulevard, Addison Road, Capitol Heights or Benning Road.

Weekend of December 20 & 21

91 out of 91 Metrorail stations will have normal service; there is no scheduled rebuilding work anywhere on the system this weekend.

Christmas Day, December 25

On Christmas Day, Metrorail will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight with trains on a Sunday schedule. There is no scheduled rebuilding work on the holiday.
