The Jets jacket worn by Kevin Arnold on the classic TV show The Wonder Years is now part of the Smithsonian’s collection.

In addition to the jacket, the two-piece dress worn by Norma Arnold in the show’s credits, scripts and photos were donated to the National Museum of American History for its entertainment collection. Fred Savage (Kevin), Jason Hervey (Wayne), Josh Saviano (Paul) and costume designer Scilla Andreen attended today’s ceremony.

“The success of the The Wonder Years is its careful balance between drama and comedy,” Dwight Blocker Bowers, the museum’s entertainment curator, said in a release. “There is something wonderfully true about the show. They didn’t leave anything of the era untouched—they let the time period speak for itself.”
