Nationals player and gnome inspiration Jayson Werth was sentenced to 10 days in jail today for allegedly driving like a bat out of Hell on Route 193 in Virginia.

According to Washington Post reporter Tom Jackman, the 35-year-old baseball player will appeal the ruling from a Fairfax County judge. Werth was charged with reckless driving, a misdemeanor, after he was pulled over driving 105 mph in a 55-mph zone, according to court records.
