Like their neighbors at The Passenger and Columbia Room, BicycleSPACE will soon be displaced as the 7th Street NW block both businesses reside is slated to be turned into office buildings. Though The Passenger’s future site has yet to be determined (though the Columbia Room has already found a new home), BicycleSPACE has announced their new location, which isn’t too far from their current one.

In a release, the bike shop says they’ve secured a new location at 440 K Street NW, on the ground floor of the Lyric apartment building in Mount Vernon Triangle, right next to where Baked and Wired will be opening up a new location. The new space will be “twice the size” of its current shop, which they moved into in 2012. Before that, they had a spot on I Street NW, not far from where they’re moving to soon. Right now, the new location is slated to open sometime in the spring of 2015.

“This is a dream come true. It is exactly the kind of space we’ve been working toward since our inception,” co-founder Erik Kugler said in a statement. We’re very excited to be working with The Wilkes Company and Quadrangle, and to the opportunity to even better serve the remarkable community which has been growing up around us.”
