MARC train service on the Camden Line has been temporarily suspended after a pedestrian was fatally struck.
The Maryland Transit Administration announced on Twitter shortly after 8 a.m. this morning that service has been suspended until further notice. The Prince George’s County Police Department said that they were investigating an an incident near Beltsville wherein a pedestrian attempting to cross the tracks was struck and killed by a Camden Line MARC train. The pedestrian died at the scene, police said.

MARC said all Camden Line trains will operate south to Greenbelt where passengers will be offloaded and transfered to Metro, who will honor all MARC tickets. MARC also said that the Penn Line is not affected and running on schedule.
