Beer from Atlas Brew Works will now be sold in cans.

Six-packs of the District Common and Rowdy will first be available at the P Street NW Whole Foods, with the debut scheduled for Friday. Availability at other stores will follow on December 22, according to a release. Cans will also be sold at Atlas’ tasting room.

After five decades without any commercial breweries, D.C. saw a renaissance in beer manufacturing with the opening of DC Brau in 2009. While Atlas was the fourth brewery to open during the revival, it is only the second brewery to begin selling cans.
