Update: It’s over! Drink up!

Original post

DC Water has expanded the area of Northwest D.C. under a Do Not Drink advisory, as testing continues.

Areas of Shaw and Logan Circle will not be able to consume or bathe in the tap water until “further notice.” According to DC Water, “crews flushed an expanded area of the distribution system last night and into this morning in an attempt to clean the system.”

There was some hope that the advisory would be lifted Thursday afternoon, but that was dashed when tests came back positive for petroleum. A mobile water distribution center will once again be set up on O Street between 6th and 7th streets NW.
