Because nearly everyone (including us) lost their damn minds over D.C.’s future cat cafe, the Rock and Roll Hotel hosted a pop-up version on Thursday with adoptable cats from the Washington Humane Society.
DCist contributor Andrea Adleman sent a brief dispatch and some photos to illustrate the scene. Spoiler: It looked a lot like cats hanging out on couches:
The club’s private rooms were re-purr-posed as cat lounges where the felines socialized with prospective adoptive parents and other friendly humans.
The venue donated 15 percent of bar sales to the animal welfare organization.
