For her 28th birthday, Alison Meek decided to lace up her running shoes and race the Metro.

Inspired by Race the Tube, Meek exited a Metro train at the Federal Triangle station and dashed across the National Mall to meet the following* train at the Smithsonian station. Did she make it before the “doors closing” announcement was made? Watch the video to find out.
